A private riad: what exactly does it mean?
A riad is a traditional Marrakech house built around an interior courtyard. Renting a private riad, also called exclusive use or a full buyout, means booking the entire house for your group alone: every bedroom, the courtyard, the pool, the rooftop terraces and the staff are yours, with no other guests. It is the ideal option for a birthday, a hen or stag party, a family holiday or a stay among friends where privacy comes first.
The Medina is the historic walled old town of Marrakech, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where the traditional riads are concentrated. Our selection covers every size. Riad Dar Maureen, deep in the Medina a 10-minute walk from Jemaa el-Fna, rents for exclusive use: 3 en-suite bedrooms, a private plunge pool in the courtyard, rated 4.92/5 from over 159 reviews. Riad Zaitouni, in Sidi Amara, and Riad Zouina, 400 metres from Jemaa el-Fna, go further: they are never rented by the room, only as a full buyout, making them the strictest option for a group that wants the house to itself from day one.
